clash of the alter-egos

Word is spreading around the office. The blog is getting some extra hits. And my boss wants a cake for her daughter! Ironically she wanted a cake for a Sweet Sixteen Hannah Montana party. Hannah Montana vs. Miley Stewart .... Sarah Simon vs. simplysarahsimon. My day job and my night job combined....It was the perfect clash of alter-egos! Channeling my inner sixteen year old rock star, I made the cake and brought it to work with me for the "delivery". I've never heard more why-the-heck-do-you-work-here's in my whole life!...turns out the birthday girl liked it too!

1.11.11 = 50!

This year on 1.11.11 my mother-in-law celebrated her 50th birthday! A strange coincidence since 1+1+1+1+1=5! (insert dramatic music here).

While we kept the celebration small, there was no shortage on cake...but I guess you figured that.

long time...no cake.

The dead period of no posts is over! We have survived the desert known as "none-of-the-cameras-in-this-dang-apartment-work"!  We have made desperate "do you have a camera?" phone calls. We have had many cakes go undocumented. HOWEVER. We are now victorious owners of a BRAND. NEW. CAMERA. And we present to you....CAKE:
